Let us not forget Private First Class Julian Martinez Alvarez, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, PFC Alvarez served our country until January 20th, 1967 in Kontum, South Vietnam. He was 24 years old and was not married. Julian died from small arms fire/grenade. His body was recovered. Julian was born on February 14th, 1942 in Mc Allen, Texas.

PFC Alvarez is on panel 14E, line 055 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
